Installing > < Removing and installing pipe/hose line
Removing
Removing
–  First check whether a coded radio is fitted. If so, obtain anti-theft code.
–  With ignition switched off, disconnect battery earth strap.
   
–  Remove air duct trim -1--arrows-.
–  Remove battery trim -2-.
–  Pull connector off coolant expansion tank.
–  Unbolt coolant expansion tank and place to side. Do not open cooling system.
–  Remove battery and battery tray → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.27.
–  Remove ABS hydraulic unit → ABS system; Rep. Gr.45.
–  Place lint-free cloth in engine compartment below supply hose to brake fluid reservoir.

–  Clamp off supply hose -A- to brake fluid reservoir with hose clamp -3094-.

–  Pull clip -A- for pipe/hose line out of master cylinder -arrow-.
–  Pull pipe/hose line -B- out of master cylinder and seal openings.

–  To remove pipe/hose line -A-, pry clip -B- out in direction of arrow to stop using a screwdriver.
–  Only then can pipe/hose line be pulled out of breather connection of slave cylinder -C-.
Vehicles with turbo diesel engine
  N30-0312
–  Remove fuel filter -A- from retainer and lay to side without loosening connections → Rep. Gr.20.
Continuation for all vehicles
–  Pull pipe/hose line out of supports on flange on master brake cylinder -1- and on gearbox -2- and remove (shown in figure without ABS unit).
