Removing
Removing
–  Remove engine cover → Booklet2.
–  Remove the air filter housing, the air hose and the air conduit hoses → Rep. Gr.24 and → Rep. Gr.23.
   
–  Remove the battery → Rep. Gr.27.
–  Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove battery mounting.
  Note
t  The slave cylinder and the collar make up one unit and may only be replaced together.
t  When performing the following operations, care must be taken not to spill brake fluid onto the side member or gearbox. If fluid comes into contact with them, the affected area must be thoroughly cleaned.
t  When carrying out work on the footwell compartment, the carpet must be protected from brake fluid spillage with cloths.
t  When removing the hose assembly or master cylinder, use the hydraulic seal adapters to avoid liquid leaking onto the body.

–  Choke the input hose going to the master cylinder with the pressure tool -U-30042-.
  WARNING
Do not press on the clutch pedal following the removal of the pipe and hose assembly.
–  Remove pipe and hose assembly from master cylinder → Fig.
–  Remove pipe and hose assembly from air bleeder valve → Fig.
–  Disengage pipe and hose assembly from the bracket.
