  Note
t  Mount gearbox on assembly stand → Chapter.
t  If the secondary shaft or tapered roller bearings are replaced, the secondary shaft must be adjusted.
t  Whenever new meshes or a new secondary shaft are fitted consult the technical data .
t  Replace both conical roller bearings together.
   
1 - clutch housing
2 - Plate
q   0.65 mm thick
3 - Outer ring of roller bearing
q   Remove → Fig.
q   Driving in → Fig.
4 - Inner ring of cylindrical roller bearing socket
q   Remove → Fig.
q   Driving in → Fig.
5 - Output shaft for 5th, 6th gears and reverse gear
q   Adjust convergence → Chapter
6 - Synchronizer body for the reverse gear
q   Driving out → Fig.
q   Installation position → Fig.
q   Driving in → Fig.
7 - Circlip
8 - Connection guide for reverse gear
q   With synchro-ring
9 - Bearing socket for the reverse gear mobile pinion
10 - Selector gear for reverse gear
11 - Sleeve
q   Press off with reverse gear wheel
q   Fitting position: the wide collar must point towards the mobile pinion of the reverse gear.
q   Driving in → Fig.
12 - Circlip
13 - Needle bearing for 6th gear
14 - 6th speed selector gear
15 - Synchro-ring for 6th gear
q   Check for wear → Fig.
16 - Gearshift sleeve/synchroniser body of the 5th and 6th gear
q   Press off together with 6th speed selector gear after removing circlip → Item
q   Dismantling → Fig.
q   Assembling the gearshift sleeve/synchronising body and → Fig.
q   Driving in → Fig.
17 - Circlip
18 - Needle bearing for 5th gear
19 - Synchromesh ring of 5th gear:
q   Check for wear
20 - 5th speed selector gear
21 - Inner ring of cylindrical roller bearing socket
q   Remove → Fig.
q   Driving in → Fig.
22 - Circlip
q   When tapered roller bearing → Item or input shaft → Item are renewed: determine thickness of required circlip
23 - Outer ring of roller bearing
q   Remove → Fig.
q   Driving in → Fig.
