Contact corrosion
Contact corrosion can occur if unsuitable connecting elements (bolts, nuts, washers...) are used.
For this reason, only fasteners with a special surface coating are fitted.
Rubber or plastic parts and adhesives also consist of non-conductive materials.
Always fit new components if you are not sure that the old components are suitable → Electronic parts catalogue.
Note:
t  We recommend the use of genuine replacement parts only; they have been tested and are compatible with aluminium.
t  We recommend the use of SEAT accessories.
t  Damage resulting from contact corrosion is not covered by warranty.
