Torque settings and note on engine mountings
For 1.4 litre - 110 kW TSI engine:
   
M12 - 80 Nm
q   When using the socket wrench e/c 18 -T10179-: 65 Nm.
M10 - 40 Nm
 - The arrows show the dowel sleeves.

–  Renew all bolts on left assembly mounting.
–  First screw in all bolts by hand.
   
–  First bolt bracket -A- to gearbox -1- with 40 Nm + 90° further turn.
–  The bracket can be levered into the correct position with a screwdriver as bolts -2- are tightened. Tightening torque of the -bolt 2:-: 60 Nm + 90°.
Starter to gearbox → Rep. gr.27.
Assembly mounting bolts must be renewed.
Subframe to body → Rep. gr.40.
