(Rear final drive installed)

Removing

• ‒ → Pull off connector (arrow 1).
• ‒ Pull vacuum hoses out from vent pipes (arrow 2).

• ‒ → Unbolt actuator from rear axle housing (arrows).
• ‒ Pull actuator out slightly and turn 90° downwards.

Actuator unhooks from selector rod.

• ‒ Take off actuator.

Installing

• ‒ Push vacuum hose and vent hose onto relevant connection.
• ‒ Pull relay lever pin out from housing, turn right-hand drive shaft slightly if necessary.
• ‒ → Pull connecting piece out from vacuum unit and hold vacuum hose (arrow) closed.

• ‒ → Slide vacuum unit on and turn through 90°upwards.
• ‒ The vacuum unit must now have engaged onto the relay lever pin. Check by pulling out on vacuum unit!
• ‒ Push vacuum unit in again and tighten bolts to torque setting.
• ‒ Check freewheel lock function => 39-123.

Tightening torques

Actuator to rear axle housing 15 Nm
