Dismantling

• ‒ Lever seal out with a lever.
• ‒ Remove small circlip.
• ‒ → Pull cover off differential.

• ‒ Remove large circlip.

• ‒ → Press bearing out from cover.

• ‒ → Press out small planet pinion axis shaft, to do this shear off spring pin.

B - Vice clamps

• ‒ Drive spring pin remains out from planet pinion axis shaft and differential housing.
• ‒ Take out planet pinion and one piece thrust washer.
• ‒ Swing sunwheel out through side opening in differential housing and take out.
• ‒ Remove flange from differential housing.

Rear final drive with freewheel

• ‒ Removing freewheel .

Assembling

• ‒ Lubricate one piece thrust washer with gearbox oil and install.
• ‒ Install both sun wheels and secure (e.g. with flange shaft).
• ‒ → Insert planet wheels turned through 180°and pivot into position on one of the two flange shafts.
• ‒ Drive planet wheel axis shaft into final position and secure with spring pin.
• ‒ Install flange to differential housing.

Rear final drive with freewheel

• ‒ Installing freewheel => Page 39-161.

• ‒ → Press bearing onto cover.
• ‒ Secure with large circlip.

• ‒ → Press cover onto differential.
• ‒ Secure with small circlip.
• ‒ Drive new seal in flush => Page 39-117.
