Cleaning norms when working in the gearbox
Cleaning norms when working in the gearbox
t  Thoroughly clean unions and adjacent areas before removing.
t  Place removed parts on a clean surface and cover. Use plastic or paper sheets. Do not use fluffy cloths!
t  If repair work is not immediately finished, all uncovered components must be covered and stored with the utmost care.
t  Only fit clean parts: only remove replacement parts from packaging immediately prior to installation.
t  O-rings, seals and gaskets must always be replaced.
t  To fit the O-rings, apply ATF or Vaseline so that the joints are not crushed or pinched during the installation.
t  In general, only ATF should be used in the ATF areas. Other lubricants may cause irregularities in the operation of the hydraulic gearbox mechanism.
t  After fitting, the level of ATF must be checked → Chapter
