Removing Bowden cable
Removing Bowden cable
–  Open the front bonnet and hold open with the bonnet rod.
   
–  Remove the Bowden cable linking element from the support on the lock carrier -arrow-.

–  Open the cover -1- of the Bowden cable joint elements as indicated by the -arrow-
–  Separate the Bowden cable -4-.
–  Remove the activating lever → Chapter
–  Remove bottom A-pillar panelling → Remove and install bottom A-pillar panelling; Rep. gr.70

–  Disconnect the Bowden cable from the casing -arrows-.
–  Remove the plastic staple -1- fastening the Bowden cable to the chassis on the lower side of the instrument panel.
–  Tie a cable-guide, approximately 1000 mm long, to the end of the Bowden cable (on the side of the operating lever).
–  Remove the cover of the plenum chamber → Chapter.

–  Remove the bushing and the chassis protector -3-.
–  Remove the Bowden cable from the end of the linking element, sliding it through the front sill.
  Note
Ensure that the cable-guide tied on the opposite end of the Bowden cable does not come undone or tangle, as this is the guide for the subsequent assembly.
