Bonnet catch - removal
  WARNING
Always replace mounting bolts for bonnet catch with new bolts every time they are loosened.
–  Open the front bonnet and hold open with the bonnet rod.
   
–  Remove the connector bracket -arrow- from the Contact switch for engine bonnet -F266- and detach it.
–  Remove the protective hose for the wiring from the fastening clips.

–  Unscrew the bolts -1- of the lock carrier and lift the front bonnet lock upwards slightly -2-.

–  Remove the Bowden cable linking element from the support on the lock carrier -arrow-.
  E55-10042
–  Release the Bowden cable, pressing the tab -1- while at the same time raising the housing -2-.
–  Completely remove the bonnet lock.
