Remove the undamaged window from behind
Remove the undamaged window from behind
WARNING
When removing a screen you must wear protective goggles and leather gloves.
–
Use wire reel -VAS 6452/1- to reel off about 4 metres of cutting wire (corresponding to 4 turns) and cut off.
–
Mask over outlet of awl at bottom of body flange with adhesive tape

to avoid damage.

In this area push the awl

from inside to outside through the adhesive beading as shown.
–
Thread both ends of cutting wire

into awl
-2-
and pull through to the inside.
–
Position cutting wire as shown under glass all round windscreen.
Caution
The wire ends must not be twisted at the point where they pass through the adhesive bead

Lead the end of the cutting chord

in the reel device

Use awl

during the entire separation process and fasten on window with the suction lifting device.
Note
Use plastic plates
-1-
in order to avoid the linings being damaged by the threads.
–
Detach both coils through alternate rotating.
Both threads will therefore correspond after removal.

Remove the side windows behind with the suction lifting device -VAG 1344-.
