Remove the undamaged window from behind
Remove the undamaged window from behind
  WARNING
When removing a screen you must wear protective goggles and leather gloves.
–  Use wire reel -VAS 6452/1- to reel off about 4 metres of cutting wire (corresponding to 4 turns) and cut off.
   
–  Mask over outlet of awl at bottom of body flange with adhesive tape -1- to avoid damage.
–  In this area push the awl -2- from inside to outside through the adhesive beading as shown.
–  Thread both ends of cutting wire -3- into awl -2- and pull through to the inside.

–  Position cutting wire as shown under glass all round windscreen.
  Caution
The wire ends must not be twisted at the point where they pass through the adhesive bead -arrow-.

–  Lead the end of the cutting chord -A- in the reel device -C- and the cutting chord -B- in the reel device -D-.

–  Use awl -2- during the entire separation process and fasten on window with the suction lifting device.
  Note
Use plastic plates -1- in order to avoid the linings being damaged by the threads.

–  Detach both coils through alternate rotating.
Both threads will therefore correspond after removal.
–  Remove the side windows behind with the suction lifting device -VAG 1344-.
