| Preparing detached or new retaining plate |

| Mechanically remove adhesive remains (applies only for a mirror base which has become detached). |

| Prepare adhesive surface by sanding down with wet fine emery paper (800-1200 grade) until water does not run off surface to be bonded. |

| Then clean with cleaning solution D 009 401 04. |
