Removing and installing lumbar support (2-way, manual)
Removing and installing lumbar support (2-way, manual)
Removing
–  Attach seat repair stand -VAS 6136- to engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095-.
–  Remove front seat → Chapter.
–  Fasten seat on seat repair stand -VAS 6136-.
–  Removing front belt buckle → Chapter.
–  Remove trim on tunnel side → Chapter.
–  Remove trim on sill side → Chapter.
–  Remove backrest → Chapter.
–  Mount backrest on seat repair stand -VAS 6136-.
–  Remove lumbar adjustment lever → Chapter.
–  Remove folding table on backrest → Chapter.
–  Remove front seat backrest cover and padding → Chapter.
   
–  Undo and remove the two screws -1- of the operating mechanism (1.5 ± 1 Nm).
–  Detach side fasteners -2- and -3- from backrest frame.
–  Detach springs at side.
–  Detach lumbar support -4- from upper mountings -arrows- in backrest frame.

Installing
–  Install in reverse order of removal.
