Removing and installing door trim at front
Removing and installing door trim at front
  Note
Removal and installation are described for the left vehicle side. Follow same instructions for the right side as appropriate.
Removing
–  Switch off ignition.
   
–  Unclip trim strip -1- from door trim using wedge -T10383/1-, starting at rear.
–  Unclip handle recess -2- from door trim using removal wedge -3409-.

   
–  Unscrew 2 bolts -arrows- (2 Nm).
–  Remove the screw -1- (4.5 Nm).

  Caution
When the door trim is separated, there is a risk that fastening elements may be damaged. To avoid this, always follow the specified order and positions of clips when removing the door trim.
–  Release door trim from clips in -specified sequence-. Use wedges -T10383- to do this.

–  Pull door trim upwards vertically out of window slot.
   
–  Then unhook Bowden cable -1- from interior door handle on inside of door trim.
–  Disconnect the wiring harnesses from the door trim in accordance with the vehicle's equipment.
Installing
–  Install in reverse order of removal.
  Note
Before installing, check retaining clips for damage and renew if necessary.

  Caution
Before installing door trim, ensure that the locking mechanisms of all clips are in -position 1-.
It is not possible to install the door trim without problem if clips are in -position 2-!
