Removing
l  Remove hazard warning triangle.
–  Switch off ignition.
–  Remove window frame trims → Chapter.
–  If present, remove button to close rear lid in luggage compartment -E406- → Electrical system; Rep. gr.96; Lights and switches in luggage compartment; Button to close rear lid in luggage compartment -E406-; Removing and installing button to close rear lid in luggage compartment -E406-.
   
– 
–  Undo the 2 screws -1- in warning triangle recess (1.5 Nm).
–  Undo and remove screws -2- from handle recess (1.5 Nm).
–  Lever trim out of fasteners in rear lid using wedge -T10383-.

Installing
–  Install in reverse order of removal.
  Note
Before installing, check retaining clips for damage and renew if necessary.
