| Before carrying out any installation work always visually inspect trim for damage. |

| It is not permissible, to perform repairs on the linings (upper lining of A-pillar, B-pillar, C-pillar and D-pillar). |

| When installing ensure that the trims have a tight seat. |

| The curtain airbag unit may only be bent at the intended location (transition from roof to A-pillar). |

| When carrying out repairs behind the curtain airbag always remove the complete unit. |

| After removal, store old curtain airbag unit in transport container or on a clean, level surface (place on blanket or in luggage compartment). |

| After performing body repairs in area of curtain airbag, check body for welding spatter, deformation and abrasion by comparing with opposite side. |

| Always hold curtain airbag unit securely. |

| Always fold up removed curtain airbag units and hold at gas generator (thumb pointing towards electrical connection). |

| Always keep one hand at the inflator. |

| Never twist, turn, knot, throw, pull, hang, pinch, press or clamp curtain airbag unit. |

| Always renew module if fabric is contaminated by oil, grease, paint, solvent or similar. |
