Checking securing parts and anchorage points after an accident
Even after a minor accident the following vehicle components must be checked
t  Seat belt buckle tab deformed (elongated)
t  Belt height adjustment does not work
t  Retaining points (seats, pillars, vehicle floor pan) are deformed or thread damaged.
t  If any component is damaged, replace the complete seat belt and buckle.
t  If components of the belt system are removed following an accident, renew the securing bolts for the belt system.
t  Renew anchorage points.
  Note
In the case of damage resulting not from an accident but, for example, from wear, only the part which is actually damaged need be renewed.
