Synchronization of keys with radiofrequency remote control ► 09.99
It is necessary to synchronize keys with radiofrequency remote control if:
t  Duplicates have been requested (4 max. in total) or a defective key is replaced
t  If the radiofrequency remote control central locking control unit is replaced -J276-
or
t  If the complete locking system is replaced
In general, firstly the new keys have to be adapted to the immobilizer:
→ Electrical system; Rep. Gr.01
If the synchronization of the key is successful, the previous synchronization (code) of the other keys is cancelled.
For this, the set of keys (4 keys max.) will have to be synchronized again quickly.
  Note!
During the synchronization process, no other vehicle equipped with a remote control system should be within the range of the key.
–  Engage the ignition for 5 seconds max. with the first key to be synchronized.
–  Switch off the ignition and remove the key.
   
The key synchronization process should be carried out immediately in less than 20 seconds.
–  Keep the close button pressed -2- and press the open button three times -1-.
–  Release the close button -2-. The key warning lamp -3- blinks 5 times.
If the radio transmitter accepts the key synchronization, the vehicle will lock once, will open again via the system and the four indicators will light up.
The remaining keys (3 max.) should be synchronized in less than 20 seconds after the last key. To do this the close button should be pressed -2- and the open button pressed 3 times -1- checking that the system reacts in as previously described.
The synchronization process is complete if 20 seconds pass or if the ignition is connected for at least 5 seconds. The synchronization process ends automatically when the four keys have been synchronized.
