Gas damper: removing

–	Underpin the tailgate.

–	Lift the security tab -3- with the aid of a screwdriver and remove the gas pressure spring from the spherical head.-1-

Note

If the damper is re-used, the security tab -3- must not be removed completely from the ball joint, because the security tab may be damaged.
