–  Underpin the tailgate.
–  Lift the security tab -2- with the aid of a screwdriver and remove the gas pressure spring from the spherical head.
  Note
If the gas pressure spring is re-used, the security tab -2- must not be removed completely from the ball joint, because the security tab may be damaged.
