Emptying the service station
Emptying the service station
  Note
t  If the service station needs to be emptied (e.g. after vacuuming refrigerant with impurities), all filters and desiccants must always be replaced (remove the filters and desiccants form their airtight packaging only immediately before they are to be mounted, in order to minimize the amount of humidity absorbed).
t  The bottles in which the used refrigerant (with impurities) is to be stored are called „recycling bottles“.
t  Before filling them with refrigerant for the first time, the recycling bottles must always be vacuumed (refrigerant bottles which contain air must never be filled with refrigerant).
t  Do not mix different types of refrigerants (mixed refrigerants cannot be treated, and must be disposed of as waste). If there is any doubt regarding the composition of the contents of a bottle, the company in charge of recycling the refrigerant must be informed.
  WARNING
t  When filing recycling bottles (pressurized gas containers), all applicable regulations, technical regulations and current laws must be observed.
t  The recycling bottles must under no circumstances be overfilled (the gas cushion in overfilled recycling bottles may be insufficient to compensate for expansion of the liquid caused by heat. This may result in the bottle bursting).
t  For your own safety, use only recycling bottles with built-in safety release valves.
t  The recycling bottles must be weighed on a calibrated scale during the filling process. The maximum admissible filling amount is 75% (filling factor 0.75) of the filling weight specified on the recycling bottle (the possibility of refrigerant oil from entering the recycling bottled while it is filled with refrigerant must not be ruled out).
