Removing and fitting fresh air blower control unitJ126
Removing and fitting fresh air blower control unit -J126 -
Detaching
   
–  Switch off ignition and all electrical loads, and pull out ignition key.
–  Remove fresh air blower -V2- → Chapter.
–  Disconnect connector -2-.
–  Remove dust and pollen filter → Chapter.
–  Remove bolt -4-.
  WARNING
Danger of burns
The heat sink at the fresh air blower control unit -J126- may be hot.
–  Press the Fresh air blower control unit -J126- inwards -item 3- and pull out -arrow- through the opening of the fresh air blower -1-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing, note the following:
–  Insert the Fresh air blower control unit -J126--C- correctly into the intended mount.

–  Tighten the screw -B- to 1.5 Nm.
–  Plug in electrical connector -A-.
–  Install dust and pollen filter → Chapter.
–  Fit fresh-air blower -V2- → Chapter.
–  Check operation of the fresh air blower control unit -J126 -.
On completion of repair work, perform the following operations on the operating unit, Climatronic control unit - J255 - in the „Guided fault-finding“ function → Vehicle diagnostic tester:
–  Interrogate the event recorder and delete any entries displayed.
–  Perform basic setting.
–  Perform final control diagnosis if applicable.
