t  Thoroughly clean all joints and connections and the surrounding areas before dismantling.
t  Place parts that have been removed on a clean surface (use sheeting or paper, but not fluffy cloths) and cover.
t  If the repair is not carried out immediately, cover or seal the components.
t  Only fit clean components:
–  Only remove genuine service parts from their packages immediately before installing them.
–  Do not use components which have been stored unpacked (e.g. in a toolbox).
t  If the fuel system is open:
–  Do not work with compressed air.
–  Do not move the vehicle.
–  Do not start the engine.
–  Do not switch on supplementary heater.
