1 - Radiator
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Renew coolant after replacing cylinder head gasket
2 - O ring
q   If this is damaged, replace it
3 - Upper coolant hose
q   Coolant hose schematic diagram → Chapter.
4 - Sealing plug
q   Check using the cooling system tester -V.A.G 1274- and the adaptor -V.A.G 1274/9-
q   Test pressure: 1,4 ... 1.6 bar
5 - Electrical connector
6 - 5 Nm
7 - Expansion tank
q   Check the tightness of the cooling system using the cooling system tester -V.A.G 1274- and the adaptor -V.A.G 1274/8-
8 - Cowling
9 - 5 Nm
10 - Fan ring
11 - 10 Nm
12 - Radiator fan
13 - Retainer
q   For the connection terminal of the ventilator
14 - Lower coolant hose
q   Coolant hose schematic diagram → Chapter.
15 - Radiator fan thermal switch -F18-, 35 Nm
q   For the electric ventilator
q   Switching temperatures:
–  1. Vehicle speed: Turn on: 92 ... 97 ℃, Turn off: 84 ... 91 ℃
–  2. Vehicle speed: Turn on: 99 ... 105 ℃, Turn off: 91 ... 98 ℃
16 - Lower radiator mount
q   Black
17 - 5 Nm
18 - Upper radiator mount
q   White
