Balance shaft with bearing cap module - Assembly overview
1 - Cover
q   Clean if dirty
2 - 5 Nm
3 - 14 Nm and then turn 180° further
q   Tighten in several stages.
q   Tighten diagonally from inside to outside.
4 - 14 Nm and then turn 180° further
5 - Balance shaft assembly with oil pump
q   Before installing, check if the adjustment sleeve is centred relative to the cylinder block and if the O-ring is fitted on the bearing cap module.
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
6 - O ring
q   Replace
q   Check for tight fit; is mounted on the bearing cap module
q   Oil lightly when fitting
7 - cylinder block
8 - Dowel sleeve
9 - Chain tensioner with tensioning plate
q   To remove lock with locking pin -T40011-
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
10 - 8 Nm and then turn 90° further
q   Replace
11 - Installation tool
q   Locking pin -T40011-
12 - Chain for oil pump
q   Observe installation position → Chapter, Removing and installing balancer shaft
13 - 23 Nm
14 - Sprocket / idle pulley
