t  -SAT 1390- Hand vacuum pump
Test sequence
–  Remove engine cover.
Engine codes AGP, AQM
Engine codes AGR, ALH, ASV → Anchor
–  Pull vacuum hose off exhaust gas recirculation valve.

–  Connect hand vacuum pump -SAT 1390- to valve.
–  Activate the pump.
   The membrane should move in the direction of the vacuum connector (check by touching from underneath -arrow-).
–  Extract the manual vacuum pump hose from the exhaust recirculation valve.
   The closing of the valve should be audible (the membrana moves toward the intake manifold).
Engine codes AGR, ALH, ASV
–  On the intake duct, loosen the clamp on the connecting pipe between the intercooler and the intake duct.
–  Extract the vacuum hose from the exhaust recirculation valve.
–  Connect the manual vacuum pump valve -SAT 1390-.

–  Activate the manual vacuum pump and check the membrane push rod.
The membrane push rod should move in the -direction of the arrow-.
–  Extract the manual vacuum pump hose from the exhaust recirculation valve.

The membrane push rod should return to its original position (moving in the opposite -direction of the arrow-).
