Renewing rubber mounting on engine carrier
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Support bracket -U-30025-
t  Assembly sleeves -U-40501-
t  Assembly pins -T20090-
t  Torque wrench -SAT 8010-

Work sequence
–  Fit support bracket -U-30025- and locate in left-hand metal ring on cylinder head and take-up weight of engine.
–  Remove blocking piece for front of selector mechanism.
–  Disconnect subframe cross arm from vehicle.
   
–  Use leverage until the washers are separated from the spacer sleeves (renew the damaged and/or deformed washers).
–  Pull out spacer sleeves and remove rubber mounting.
–  Insert the new rubber mounting and fit the spacer sleeves again.
–  Carefully work the edges of the spacer sleeves until the rubber mountings fit.

–  Insert the rubber mounting (lubricated with soapy solution) in sleeve -U-40501-. Align the tool on the subframe cross arm, as illustrated, (ensuring when doing this that the conical part of the expansion nut -T20090- does not touch the sleeve). Move the nut -T20090- until the rubber mounting is correctly positioned.

–  Fit washer -1- and nut -T20090- (with the conical section towards the washer), turn the nut until the edge of the spacer sleeve has been passed.
