Removing
Removing
–  Remove engine cover .
–  Remove the central soundproofing and the right wheel housing moulding → Bodywork, exterior installation work; Rep. Gr.50
   
–  Detach the lower air conduit pipe going to the intercooler from the longitudinal support at the lower right-hand side.
–  Remove Poly V-belt → Chapter.
–  Remove tensioner for the Poly V-belt.
Engine installed:
  A10-0396
–  Set the crankshaft to the TDC for cylinder 1 -arrow-.
Engine removed:
  E13-0096
–  Set the damper to the TDC for cylinder 1 -arrows-.
–  Unscrew the coolant expansion tank and lay to one side.
–  Detach the activated charcoal canister system vacuum hoses and the throttle valve.
–  Remove upper timing belt guard.

–  Position the support -U-30025E-.
–  Place the spindle hook -A- in the right suspension eye and slightly pre-tighten.

–  Release the securing bolts -arrows- of the engine assembly, engine side.

–  Remove vibration damper / pulley → Chapter.

–  Remove the securing bolts -arrows- from the console to the cylinder block.
–  Remove lower and centre timing belt guards.
–  Mark the timing belt D.O.R.

–  Insert an Allen key as far as it will go into the tensioning roller housing and compress the tensioner until it can be immobilised by inserting the counterhold -T10008- into the groove, as shown.
  Note
t  There is a risk of damaging the hexagonal socket when the Allen key is not sufficiently inserted.
t  The tensing pressure pin can only be inserted very slowly.
–  Unfasten nut of tensing roller.

–  Extract the securing bolts -1-of the tensioner in order to free the belt and remove the tensioner.
–  Detach timing belt.
