Exhaust turbocharger, G-charger > < Components of the cooling system: Installing and removing:

Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Tandem pump tester -VAS 5187-, see equivalent → Anchor
  W00-0997
t  Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010-, see equivalent → Anchor
Test requirements
l  Coolant temperature, 85 °C minimum
l  Pump injectors, good
l  The fuel filter and the fuel lines must not be clogged
l  The retention valve on the fuel supply hose must be working correctly
Work sequence
  L00-10226
–  Locking bolt -arrow-.
  N20-0288
–  Connect the manometer -VAS 5187- as shown in the diagram.
–  Start engine and run at idling speed.
–  Increase the engine speed to 1500 rpm.
–  Read the pressure on the pressure gauge:
l  Specification: min. 3.5 bar
If the specification is not obtained:
–  Pinch off the return pipe between the fuel filter and the tandem pump with a hose clamp.
–  Carry out another test.
If the specified value is achieved:
–  The tandem pump is operating correctly. Replace the O-ring of the injection pump → Chapter
If the specification is not obtained:
–  Replace the tandem pump → Chapter.
  Note
Tighten the seal bolt following the removal of the manometer to 25 Nm. Replace the seal .
