Oil filter bracket: removing and fitting
Oil filter bracket: removing and fitting
t  Removing → Anchor
t  Installing → Anchor
t  Tightening torques → Anchor
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Used oil collection and extraction unit -VAG 1782-, see equivalent → Anchor
  W00-10211
t  Torque wrench -VAG 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor.
Removing
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
–  Remove coolant pipe (bottom) → Chapter.

–  Place used oil collection and extraction unit -VAG 1782- under engine and drain engine oil -1-.
–  Note installation position and remove oil cooler -2-.

–  Disconnect connector -3-.
–  Detach clip -2- and remove crankcase breather pipe.
–  Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove oil filter bracket.
  Note
Ignore -item 1-.
Installing
Reassembly is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
  Note
Renew seals, gaskets and O-rings.
–  Install coolant pipe (bottom) → Chapter.
–  Check oil level → Chapter.
–  Fill up with coolant → Chapter.
Tightening torques
  A17-10075

Oil filter housing to engine block15 + 90° → Remark → Remark
Oil cooler to oil filter bracket25
Oil filter to oil cooler20

1)  Renew bolts
2)  90° corresponds to a quarter turn.
