Fuel supply, gas operation > < Cooling system components (bodywork side)

Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Hose clamp -3094-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Lever -80 200-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Tray -VAS 6208-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Base -VAS 6499-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing .
–  Remove radiator cowl → Chapter.
–  Remove battery → Rep. gr.27.
   
–  Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove battery mounting bracket -1-.
Vehicles with direct shift gearbox
  A27-10166
–  Disconnect the coolant hoses using the hose clip -3094- and remove the oil cooler from the gearbox. For this purpose, loosen the clip -arrow-.
Continuation for all vehicles
  A10-10001
–  Move wiring harnesses -arrows- and electrical connector -1- clear at bracket.
  A10-11009
–  Unscrew bolts -2-, -5- and -arrows-.
–  Lay the electric lines and hoses on the left air duct pipe free using the removal lever -80 200-.
–  Loosen hose clip -3- and remove left air pipe.
–  Place the drip tray -VAS 6208- under the engine.
–  Disconnect the coolant hoses using the hose clip -3094- and remove from the left coolant pipe. For this purpose, loosen the clips -1- and -4-.
–  Detach coolant pipe (left-side).
Installing .
l  Specified torque → Chapter.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Parts catalogue.
–  Install air pipe (left-side) → Chapter.
–  Install battery mounting and battery → Rep. gr.27.
–  Install radiator cowl → Chapter.
–  Replenish coolant → Anchor.
