Line for the exhaust gas recirculation: Removing and installing. t  Removing → Anchor. t  Installing → Anchor.

Removing . –  Remove the engine cover upwards -arrows-.

–  Remove the air conduit cover by releasing the side tabs -arrows-.

–  Unclip lower air duct -2- by releasing retaining clips on left and right -arrow A-. –  Detach lower air duct at mounting brackets -3-; swing lower air duct backwards slightly for this. –  Detach air pipe -1- from lower air duct -arrow B-.

–  Remove the electrical connector -1- from the air mass meter -G70-. –  Uncouple the flexible air hose -3- and the flexible air conduit -2-. –  Unscrew the bolt -4- and remove the air filter housing.

–  Separate the crankshaft housing breather hose -1- from the cylinder head cover. Press-in the tab for releasing. –  Move vacuum hoses -arrows- on air pipe clear. –  Loosen hose clip -2- and detach air pipe. –  Remove battery → Rep. gr.27.

–  Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove battery mounting bracket -1-.

–  Remove the securing elements -1 and 2- for the control cables from the selection and relay rods.

–  Remove the control cable support from the gearbox and move to one side -arrows-.

–  Fit the centre noise insulation -fasteners 1 ... 3-.

–  Remove the left air duct hose; for this purpose, release hose clip -2- and lift the retaining clip -1-.

–  Remove bolts -arrows-. –  Separate the electric lines and hoses on the left air pipe. –  Release hose clip -3- and push air pipe (left-side) from turbocharger towards the left.   Note Disregard -items 1, 2, 4, 5-.

–  Separate the connector -1- of the oil pressure sender -F1-. –  Remove the oil supply tube on the oil filter bracket -3- and on the liquid coolant tube -4-.

–  Unscrew the nut -1- and bolts -2-.

–  Unscrew bolts -3- and -4-.   Note Disregard -item 1, 2-. –  Exhaust gas recirculation joint hose: Installing . –  Installation is in the reverse sequence of removal. –  Fit the supercharger air system hoses and observe the assembly instructions → Chapter.
