| Remove connectors -5, 6, 7 and 8- from glow plugs. |

| Clean glow plug openings in cylinder head; make sure no dirt gets into cylinder. |

| Use a vacuum cleaner to remove coarse dirt. |

| Spray brake cleaner or suitable cleaning agent into glow plug apertures, let it work in briefly, and blow out with compressed air. |

| Then clean the glow plug openings using a cloth moistened with oil. |
Caution Ensure that the line connections are not damaged when removing the connectors on glow plugs, otherwise it is necessary to replace the entire wiring harness. Do not press pliers -3314- together too firmly when removing glow plug connectors to prevent damaging the bearing fittings |
