Pressure differential senderG505: Removing and installing
Pressure differential sender -G505-: Removing and installing
t  Pressure differential sender -G505-: Removing → Anchor
t  Pressure differential sender -G505-: Fitting → Anchor
  Note
t  The pressure differential sender -G505- is each connected to the take-off points upstream and downstream of the particulate filter via two pipes → Chapter „Lambda probe: Assembly overview“.
t  The pressure differential sender -G505- determines the amount of deposits in the particulate filter.

Removing
–  Disconnect the engine cover-arrow-.
  E10-10060
–  Remove the bracket of the fuel filter. For this purpose unscrew nuts -arrows- → Chapter.
–  Push to one side without removing lines an fuel filter.
–  Before removing the hoses, spray the pressure differential sender -G505- with a solvent.
  E10-10058
–  Pull connector -3- from pressure differential sender -G505-.
–  Undo the screw -4- and remove the pressure differential sender -G505-.
–  Pull hoses carefully and straight from unions (the unions break off from the pressure differential sender -G505- very easily).
Installing
–  When installing, note the following:
  Note
t  Before installing, guide compressed air into the hoses of the pressure differential sender -G505- (in the direction of the particulate filter). This may be blocked or frozen by the condensed water.
t  Note that the hoses and tightly connected.
t  If pressure connections are detached from particulate filter, tighten to 45 Nm.
t  Hose connections and hoses must be free of oil and grease before fitting.
t  Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Spare parts catalogue.
t  Tightening torque for the pressure differential sender -G505-, → Chapterscrews.
After replacing the pressure differential sender -G505- and / or the particle filter, a readopting must be carried out again. (The procedure is also described under "Guided Functions".)
Select the correct vehicle in Guided Fault Finding.
–  Press „go to“ key.
–  Press „Function/component selection“.
–  Select „Drive train“.
–  „01 - Self-diagnosis-compatible systems“
–  „01 - Engine electronics J623“
–  Select „01 - Functions of engine electronics“
–  „01 - Adapt particulate filter learned values“
