t  Remove the Lambda probe -G39- with heating for Lambda probe -Z19- → Anchor
t  Install the Lambda probe -G39- with Lambda probe heater -Z19- → Anchor
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Wrench kit -3337-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing
–  Disconnect the engine cover-arrow-.
  E10-10060
–  Disconnect electrical connection -1- for lambda probe -G39-.
–  Screw out the Lambda probe -G39--5- using the wrench -3337/1-.
Installing
When installing, note the following:
  Note
t  The screw thread on the new lambda probe is coated with a special paste; the paste must not get into the slots on the probe body.
t  In the case of a used Lambda probe grease only the thread with high-temperature paste. The paste must not get into the slots on the Lambda probe body. For high-temperature paste refer to → Parts catalogue.
t  When installing, the Lambda probe wiring must always be re-attached at the same locations to prevent it from coming into contact with the exhaust pipe.
t  Tightening torque of the Lambda probe: 50 Nm
