  Caution
Risk of irreparable damage to high-pressure pump if allowed to run dry.
If the fuel filter, the fuel line or the supplementary fuel pump -V393- have to be replaced, the fuel system must bled before starting the engine again for the first time → Chapter.
  Note
Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Parts catalogue.
   
1 - Fuel return hose
q   For the „blue“ connector on the separation area in the engine compartment on the right
q   To fuel tank.
q   Pull release tab on connection piece to disconnect.
2 - 5 Nm
3 - Washer
4 - Fuel supply hose
q   For the „black“ connector on the separation area in the engine compartment on the right
q   From fuel tank.
q   Pull release tab on connection piece to disconnect.
5 - Fuel return hose
q   From high-pressure pump.
q   Blue mark
6 - Fuel supply hose
q   To supplementary fuel pump -V393-
q   White marking
7 - Filter housing cover
8 - Filter insert
q   Renewing → Booklet101.
9 - Fuel filter body:
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
10 - 10 Nm
11 - Seal
q   Renew
