Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
   
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Counterhold -T20127-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Base -T20172/1-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Tower -T20172/2-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Engine mounting -T20172/3-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Workshop crane

Procedure
l  With the gearbox separated from the engine.
  Note
To align the centre of gravity of the assembly, fit the counterhold -T20127- to the corresponding anchorage points as shown in the figure.
   
–  Hook the counterhold -T20127- onto the engine and onto the workshop crane, as shown in the illustration.
  DANGER!
Check that the hooks are closed using the security rings.
–  Lower the engine with workshop crane from the counterhold -T20205-.
  Note
If operations are planned for the crankshaft or sealing flanges, the flywheel and intermediate plate must be removed before fixing to the engine mounting -T20172/3- → Chapter.

–  Place the engine mounting -T20172/3- carefully on the engine, and then fasten it onto the base -T20172/1- together with the tower -T20172/2-.
