Removing and installing parts of exhaust system > < Checking secondary air pump motor V101

Checking combination valve
Test prerequisites
l  No fault may be stored in fault memory → Rep. Gr.01.
l  Final control diagnosis has been performed → Rep. Gr.01.
l  Hose connections must be free of leaks.
Test procedure
  Note
Do not use compressed air during the following check!
–  Remove sound insulation tray → Rep. Gr.50.
   
–  Remove pressure hose -arrow- from secondary air pump motor -V101-.
  Note
To release, press buttons on hose coupling together.
–  Gently blow into pressure hose to combination valve. Combination valve must be closed.
–  Blow with great pressure into pressure hose to combination valve. Combination valve must open.
If the combination valve does not open, or is constantly open:
–  Renew combination valve → Item.
