1 - Gasket
q   Renew
2 - Exhaust manifold
q   With connection for exhaust gas recirculation → Chapter
q   To remove, the intake manifold has to be removed
3 - Washer
4 - 25 Nm
q   Renew
q   Grease thread with -G 052 112 A3-
5 - Front exhaust pipe with catalyst
6 - Retaining ring
q   Renew if damaged
7 - Cross member
8 - 23 Nm
9 - Double clamp
q   Note assembly position: Bolts downwards and in a horizontal position → Fig.
10 - 40 Nm
11 - Suspension element
q   Note assembly position → Fig.
12 - Suspension element
q   Note assembly position → Fig.
13 - Separating point
q   For repair cases
q   Marked by three impressions on circumference of exhaust pipe
q   As standard, front and main silencers come as a single component. In cases of repair the rear silencer and exhaust are supplied individually and with a double clamp for connecting.
q   Cut the exhaust pipe perpendicularly at the indicated point with tool -U-40075- → Fig..
14 - To front silencer
q   Can be replaced individually → Fig.
q   Note installation position → Fig.
15 - 40 Nm
q   Renew
q   Apply insulation paste to the thread -G 052 112 A3-
