Removing and installing toothed belt > < Toothed belt system

1 - Notched belt
q   Mark direction of rotation before removing.
q   Check for wear
q   Do not bend
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
2 - Idler roller
3 - Nut
q   20 Nm.
4 - Tensioning roller
5 - Nut
q   20 Nm + turn +45° further
6 - Bolt.
q   20 Nm.
7 - Idler roller
8 - Bolt.
q   25 Nm.
9 - Camshaft sprocket
10 - Bolt.
q   Slacken and tighten with counterhold tool -T10051-
q   100 Nm.
11 - Hub
q   For camshaft
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
12 - Plug
13 - Toothed belt cover (rear)
14 - Bolt.
q   9 Nm.
15 - Hub
q   For high-pressure pump
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
16 - Nut
q   95 Nm.
17 - High-pressure pump sprocket
18 - Bolt.
q   3 units
q   Replace
q   20 Nm.
19 - Idler roller
20 - Bolt.
q   Replace
q   50 Nm + turn +90° further
21 - O ring
q   Replace
22 - Coolant pump
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
23 - Bolt.
q   15 Nm.
24 - Crankshaft sprocket
q   Contact surface between toothed belt pulley and crankshaft must be free from oil.
q   Can only be fitted in one position
25 - Bolt.
q   Replace
q   Slacken and tighten with counterhold tool -3415-
q   Do not additionally oil threads and shoulder
q   120 Nm + turn +90° further

   
Toothed belt cover (bottom) - tightening torque
–  Tighten bolts -arrows- to 9 Nm.
