Removing and installing exhaust gas temperature sender 1G235
Removing and installing exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235-
t  Removing → Anchor
t  Fitting → Anchor
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Wrench kit -3337-, see equivalent → Anchor
  W00-0206
t  Wrench kit 17 mm -T10395-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Plug set for engine -VAS 6122-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing
–  Unfasten quick release fasteners -1 ... 3- and detach noise insulation (front and rear).
  A10-1320
–  Disconnect connector -3- on exhaust gas temperature sensor 1 -G235- and expose below engine block.
–  Remove clip for fastening line on exhaust gas temperature sensor 1 -G235- between starter and engine block.
  Note
-Items 1 and 2- can be disregarded.

–  Remove engine cover panel -arrows-.
–  Remove air cleaner housing → Chapter.
  E10-10127
–  Disengage the connector -3- of the Lambda probe -G39- and move the electric wiring clear.
–  Screw out the Lambda probe -G39--1- using the wrench -3337/1-.
–  For safety reasons, insert a sealing plug -VAS 6122- in the opening of the Lambda probe -G39-.

–  Remove the exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235--1- using the 17 mm wrench -T10395/7-.
–  Expose electrical line -arrow-.
Installing
Reassembly is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
  Caution
Attach wiring according to initial routing.
Fit cable ties in the original positions when installing.
Tightening torque
l  → Chapter „Assembly overview - exhaust gas temperature regulation “
l  → Chapter „Turbocharger - exploded view“
–  Install air cleaner housing → Chapter.
