Only for engines with particulate filter

Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  Articulated wrench e/c 17 -T20212-, see equivalent → Anchor
Removing
  L26-10003
–  Detach the outer -1- and inner -2- engine covers, by pulling them evenly upwards.

–  Disconnect the electric connector -1- for the temperature sender after the particle filter -G527- and set cable to one side.
–  Release sender cable from the fastening clips on the heat proof plate.

–  remove the central sound proofing → Exterior body installation work; Rep. gr.50
  E10-0086
–  Unbolt the temperature sender after the particulate filter -G527--1- using the articulated wrench E/C 17 -T20212-.
Installing
Install in the reverse order from removal, remembering the following:
t  The thread on the new senders is coated with a special paste; the paste must not get into the slots on the probe body
t  When reusing the old sender, lubricate the thread with high-temperature lubricant; the paste must not get into the slots on the probe body; high-temperature lubricant → Parts catalogue.
t  When assembling, the sender cable must be fixed in its original position to avoid contact with the exhaust pipe.
