Removing and installing oil filter bracket with oil cooler t  Oil filter bracket with oil cooler: Removing → Anchor t  Oil filter bracket with oil cooler: Installing → Anchor. Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter. Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Extractor -SAT 1100-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  Base -VAS 6499-, see equivalent → Anchor t  Release lever -80 - 200-, see equivalent → Anchor Removing . –  Drain coolant → Chapter. –  Remove cowling → Chapter. –  Remove air filter housing → Chapter.

–  Remove oil filter element → Booklet101.

–  Unscrew bolts -arrows-. –  Lay the coolant hose -3- free and set aside. –  Release the hose clamp -2-. –  Disconnect electrical connector -1- on charge pressure sender -G31-/intake air temperature sender -G42- and remove right air pipe.

–  Pull out the dipstick a little and unscrew the bolt -1-. –  Hang out the clip -2- using the release lever -80 - 200-. –  Pull the guide tube for oil dipstick upwards out of cylinder block and push to one side.

–  Place the Drip tray -VAS 6208- under the separation area. –  Remove the coolant hose, the hose clip -1- must be replaced for this purpose. –  Place the used oil collection and extraction unit -SAT 1100- below engine. –  Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove oil filter bracket with engine oil cooler. Fitting . l  Tightening torques → Chapter Installation is carried out in reverse order, noting the following:   Note t  Replace the gaskets, seals and O-rings. t  Hose connections and air pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before assembly. t  Secure all hose connections with the hose clips corresponding to original equipment → Electronic parts catalogue. –  Install dipstick guide tube → Chapter. –  Install charge air pipe → Chapter. –  Mount air intake hoses with screw clamps → Fig.. –  Install air cleaner housing → Chapter. –  Install cowling → Chapter. –  Install the oil filter cartridge, top up with engine oil and check level → Booklet101. –  Replenish coolant in cooling system, change coolant if engine oil cooler has been renewed → Chapter.
