Radiator: Removing and installing
Radiator: Removing and installing
Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
   
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Refractometer -T10007A-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Base -VAS 6340-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Tightening torque -VAG 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor

   
t  Collecting tray -VAS 6208-, see equivalent → Anchor
Removal:
–  Remove the radiator fan -V7- and radiator fan 2 -V177- → Chapter.
–  Drain coolant → Chapter
–  Remove front bumper lining → Front bumper lining: removing and installing ; Rep. Gr.63
–  Pull coolant hoses off radiator.
–  Pull connector off thermo-switch and radiator fan.
  Note
To avoid damage to the condenser and coolant pipes/hoses, take care not to bend, twist or stretch the pipes/hoses excessively.

–  Unscrew the bolts -1- of the cooler bearing.
–  Push the cooler a little to the rear.
–  Remove securing bolts -2- of condenser.

–  Unscrew the condenser from its attachment to the radiator and secure it to the lock carrier plate.
–  Pull the additional radiator upwards.
Fitting .
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:
–  Insert the cooler from above.
–  Install the front bumper → Front bumper lining: Removing and fitting ; Rep. Gr.63
–  Install Radiator fan -V7- and radiator fan 2 -V177- → Chapter.
–  Fill cooling system → Chapter
