Removing and installing accelerator module
Removing and installing accelerator module

Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  For left-hand drive vehicles: Pressure tool -T10238-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  For right-hand drive vehicles: Pressure tool -T10240-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing
–  Remove the steering column cover -arrows-.

–  Remove the cap -3- by levering with a screwdriver.
–  Undo the securing bolt -2-.
–  Unlock the terminal connector -1--arrow- and remove from the accelerator pedal module.

–  Insert the pressure tool -T10238- (for right-hand drive vehicles, release tool -T10240-) all the way into the corresponding holes, as shown, and remove the accelerator pedal module.
–  Disconnect the connector, and remove the wiring of the accelerator pedal module.

Installing
–  Insert the accelerator pedal module onto the attachment bolts -5-.
–  Insert the centring pin -6- into the hole in the vehicle floor.
–  Secure the accelerator pedal module with bolt -2- and fit cap -3-.
–  Plug in the connector -1- on the accelerator pedal module.
–  Place the steering column cover back on.
