Catalytic converter with exhaust pipe, remove and install (Ibiza) Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Lambda probe open ring spanner set -3337-

t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331- Removing –  Remove the Lambda probe -G39--1- using Lambda probe open ring spanner set -3337-.

–  Unscrew the upper securing screw for the alternator -2- and press the alternator slightly downwards. –  Unscrew the fastening bolts -arrows- and remove the heat protection plate from the turbocharger.

–  Unscrew the securing bolts on the exhaust gas turbocharger -arrows-. –  Separate the under body protection.

–  Unplug connector -1-. –  Remove the Lambda probes after the catalytic converter -G130--2-.

–  Remove securing bolts -1-. –  Remove the suspension -2- from bolt.

–  Loosen the fixing screws of the clamping sleeve -arrows- and push to rear. –  Remove the catalytic converter with exhaust pipe downwards. Installing Remaining assembly or installation is carried out in reverse order of removal. Tightening torques → Chapter
