Removing and installing exhauster pump
Removing and installing exhauster pump
Removing:
Proceed as follows:
–  Remove the engine cover → Chapter
–  Remove the air filter housing → Chapter.
–  Remove high-pressure pump with »roller tappet« → Chapter.
   
–  Remove vacuum hoses -arrows- from vacuum pump.

–  Unbolt earth cable -1- and unscrew bolt -2-.

–  Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove vacuum pump.
  Note
The vacuum pump must not be dismantled.
Installing:
l  Tightening torques → Chapter
Reassembly is carried out in the reverse order of the dismantling sequence. Note the following:
–  Clean sealing surfaces.
–  Position gasket on vacuum pump, insert 2 bolts and then position on cylinder head.
