| Connect the compressed air hose -1- (compressed air supply) to the cooling system leakage tester -VAG 1687-. |
Note If there is water in the inspection hole, drain it through the drain screw -6-. |

| Set the pressure to 0.5 bar using the pressure regulation valve -2-. |
Caution The pressure must not exceed 0.5 bar. Excessive pressure may cause damage to the engine. |

| Open valve -4- and wait until test circuit is full. If necessary reset the pressure to 0.5 bar. |

| Check the tightness of the charged air system by listening, touching or using a leak spray. |

| Before removing the adaptor, depressurize the inspection circuit by releasing the coupling of the adjustable adaptor -1687/1-. |
