After the removing and fitting of supercharger air hoses with spring-type clips, there is a risk that the hose will „come loose“ while the car is moving. Because of this, elastic rings are fitted that should only open in case of a fault in the corresponding supercharger air hose. When doing repair works the flexible ring must be broken with the appropriate tool and replaced by the part indicated in →  Electronic parts catalogue.
