These control units, prepared for data bus, are interconnected via two data bus wires twisted around each other (CAN_High and CAN_Low), and exchange information (messages). The lack of information in the data bus is interpreted as a fault by the engine control unit and by the other control units interconnected through the CAN data bus. |
To function without static problems, the CAN data bus requires a matching resistor of 66 Ω. This matching resistor is found at the engine control unit. |
